Frances grew up on the
north shore of New Brunswick in the small
country village of Glen Levit, NB. She is the
youngest in a family of fifteen children.
Frances and her husband Aubrey have been married
for fifty-one years and are the parents of three
daughters, Wendy, Pamela and Peggy, also a
special grandson Thomas.
Frances has been an active
CWL member since 1965. She is a parishioner of
St. Anthony’s Parish; she serves on the
administration council, is on the pastoral
council, and is a liturgy and Eucharistic
minister.
At CWL Parish level
Frances has been president, treasurer,
secretary, and chairpersons of standing
committees; at Diocesan she has been president,
chairpersons of several standing committees and
is presently secretary; at Provincial she has
served as chairpersons of standing committees up
to 1st vice president.
Frances served on the
Hospitality Committee for the 82nd
annual national convention in Moncton, 2002 and
presently is on the Special Events Committee for
the 2014 national convention in Fredericton.
Frances was honoured with
her Life Membership on April 30, 2006 at the 57th
diocesan convention in Bathurst. She was
presented with the Maple Leaf Service Pin Award
in 2008 from St. Anthony’s Parish
Frances is active helping
in her community with many organizations and
committees.
CWL has been a real reward
for her, being a member and belonging to such a
wonderful organization has given her such
strength in her faith and life.
She is so grateful to have
met so many lovely ladies who have been great
mentors to her and have journeyed with her over
the years.
CWL is like a large family
where friendships remain for a lifetime.
