Iva Mary Pamela Bryson-Weaver is married to Dr. Perley Weaver and is the mother of three children, two with special needs.

She joined the Catholic Women’s League of Canada in 1986.  Her years of experience in service to the League in many parts of Canada have added to her vision of what it means to be a member of a national women’s organization rooted in gospel values.

She has served in many capacities and on all levels of parish council. From every officer position to all standing committees in her 24 years of service.  These capacities have broadened her experience and connection to the members of the League, especially in the Saint John Diocese as well as at the Provincial and National levels.

In so many ways her gifts have been affirmed by the invitations she has received to share her experiences not only within the diocese, and Province, but from invitations she has received from other councils in Canada and the Atlantic area.

Among various highlights and experiences here in our Atlantic Provinces she has been asked to fulfill in the CWL are:

Currently: Legislation Chairperson for St. Dunstan’s Parish, Fredericton, NB.
Currently: 2010 – Legislation Chairperson on Saint John Diocesan, NB
Currently: 2010 – Legislation Chairperson for Provincial, NB
2008-2009 – Legislation Chairperson on Saint John Diocesan.
2007 – P.E. I. at both Provincial conventions as a speaker.
2006 - Halifax, NS. National convention in where she was invited to be a keynote speaker.
2004 - Resolution - 04.08; Treatment of Autistic Persons, passed at National level.
1997 – Resolution – 97.3 All-Terrain Vehicle Act and its regulation, Act of NB, passed at Provincial. As well the NB government changed its laws on All-terrain. She believes this resolution has saved lives!

She prays to honour our Lady of Good Counsel, patroness of our League.
